I have been involved with community issues in Scott County since 1993, I have long worked for positive change in the Quad Cities area. My family and I feel that the time has come for me to seek an elected office.
I want to propose fresh ideas from a different prospective, and put forward positive solutMy leadership skills over the years have included an appointment in 1999 by Governor Tom Vilsack to the Iowa Board of Parole. I have served as a senior manager for Federal Express, President of Quad Cities Interfaith, President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Vice President of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., in addition to having served on the boards of Churches United, Scott County Kids, and on the Executive Board of the Scott County Family YMCA. Of the many awards that I have received, two I am proudest of are recognition from President Barak Obama for Father of the Year and The Msgr Marvin Mottet Leadership Award.
